.občasník - 60 sekúnd na Pohode

 

 

Did you ever thought, how it could be to capture (into photography) not only visible surface (of human)? I did. And camera obscura (pinhole camera) seems to be the great solution to achieve this idea. It was at the beginning of 2017, after many attempts, when I got the camera which allowed me permanent result to be produced in series.

 

The very first portrait was portrait of my father. I get in touch with Jan from Christiania, in Presov, in short time and explain him and to Bene the whole idea of this project. This was the beginning of my new approach to music photography. During the whole 2017 I came before every concert (to Christiania club) to build my (photo) studio and asked another personas to join this project. One of them was Michal Kaščák. He liked this project, like many others before. I started to manage realization at Pohoda festival. In meanwhile (in Christiania club) project got into the stage, where musicians came and asked on this project, because of being informed from their musicians fellows. Project was awarded in Slovak Press Photo in the autumn of 2017. Logical culmination was the exhibition at the end of year (2017) in Christiania club, at place of birth of this project.

 

 

 

 

Summer 2018 and Pohoda festival arrived. Black ship container in artists village became my (photo) studio. If you’ve been at festival, we propably didn’t met. It was quick, intensive, diverse, just to keep on track and do not make (any) mistakes. Yes, this analog miracle, when you see the result (for the first time) after few more days, when you turn on the light in darkroom. And together with picture/photographs you develop your memories what really happened there (few days ago). You hold 4x5 inch large format film in your hand and keep smilling. You spend 3 nights in darkroom and few mores with scanning. Of course, it pays off. Because as photographer you get more than “just” these portraits, you get also that time of not only this 60 seconds spend together with everyone in person, which joined you together. 

 

I’d like to thank to everyone who accept the idea of this project and join it and let me to take hehr/his portrait! Thank you all for not only this 60 seconds spend together! It was my honor and pleasure! 

 

 

 

Summer 2019 and Pohoda festival arrived. Black ship container, the same one as used last summer as studio, now used as exhibiton space in festival area. If you've stopped by, we met in person. And this was the first time, you have the chance to see these unique camera obscura portratits as exhibition.
